WELCOME Dear Clients, Triad Labs Inc., is a commercial laboratory with its principal operation based in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. We are dedicated to providing high quality analyses with a rapid turnaround time at a very competitive price. Our staff consists of highly motivated personnel with many years experience providing analyses to the mineral exploration sector. Triad Labs has the capability to process 1500 fire assays per day, with 12 kilns. In addition to this Triad has a full wet chemistry lab for the digestions of mineral samples for various analyses. As for the instrumentation we now have one ICP simultaneous unit, with 500-sample auto sampler, four Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, one graphite furnace, three Cahn balances, one Gas Chromatograph, and a full range of smaller instruments and meters for the various analyses. During the past year, Triad has improved its staff with the addition of a Senior Assayer and Head Chemist. This complements the staff of Registered Assayers, Metallurgical Engineers, Chemists, and Technicians, which Triad has on staff. We also offer fully registered and certified Environmental research. At this time we have branches in Puerto Ordaz,Venezuela- Linden, Guyana, and Cayenne,French Guyane, and a sample pickup depot in Tumeremo, Venezuela. With plans to open field offices in other Latin American countries. Through these field offices, it is our hope to be able to provide a better form of logistical support to the exploration companies. This will be in the form of the preparation and movement of their samples. We are providing sample Air Pick-up from these field offices, by either Commercial Air Routes or by Private Plane on a shared cost basis. This is in an effort to provide a 5-6 day turn around time for Fire Assay and 10 day turn around time for ICP analyses. If you have a larger project in Central or South America, Triad would be willing to establish a sample preparation facility on or near to the site, provided it is serviced by a small airstrip. As to new services, Triad has installed an ICP to provide 32 element scans and Whole Rock Analyses on a commercial basis in Central and South America. We are now providing The "Enzyme Leach" Process for Geo-Chem exploration. This process has shown great success in the location of deep gold anomalies. Further information on this process can be obtained from any of the offices. Eddington, President, Registered Assayer and Metallurgist METHODS OF ASSURING QUALITY INCLUDES Preparation equipment are checked daily and records kept of maintenance. Only reagent grade chemicals are used in the lab. Lab water used in analytical processes are all distilled. Balances are checked routinely throughout the course of weighing with standard weights and are serviced and certified regularly by an out-of-house technician. Check samples are sent to outside labs, particularly when developing any new analytical procedures. Spike samples are used regularly on solution analysis and on new procedures to assure validity and recoverability. Controls are run regularly (10% of each run) - consisting of known samples, round-robin generated material, and North American Certified Standards. Blanks, flux, acid and rock travel blanks, are run regularly to detect possibilities of contamination. METHODS OF CONTROLLING QUALITY INCLUDES Splits are taken from stored sample rejects on an irregular basis and rerun to check homogeneity. Grab samples are taken from stored sample pulps on an irregular basis and rerun to check wet lab consistency. Repeats are run regularly (10% of each run) to establish repeatability of analysis for the run and to establish overall standard deviation data for each particular method. Sets of analysis falling outside of accepted limits are rerun to meet precision and accuracy criteria. Instruments used for analysis are maintained routinely and standards are used to assure consistency of operation. (In addition to standards that are read to establish analytical curves during the analysis of unknowns). Standard procedures for all functions are used by all lab technicians performing any particular operation.
